The terms “management” and “leadership” are often used interchangeably. However, since the late 1970’s, there has been an ongoing debate as to whether they may be two distinctly different things. Are they different? If so, how? Are there specific leadership characteristics and attributes? If so, are leaders born or taught? These and other questions will be the raised for consideration and dialogue at this roundtable led by Bekki Smith of Trebuchet Group. Bring your thoughts, questions, ideas (and ideals) about what it takes to be (and who is) a great leader and why, and join us for this engaging exploration.
Attendees will learn to:
- Distinguish between “management” and “leadership”
- Identify what leaders demonstrate
- Understand whether they are providing “management” or “leadership” for their organization
- Determine what may be needed for business goals to be met and see a way to begin to identify next steps
Bekki Smith will present this workshop at the Larimer County Workforce Center Business Roundtable in Loveland.
