An Invitation as You Close Out the Year

This time of year offers the opportunity to be reflective and hopeful. Perhaps you’re grateful for what brought you here, and curious about where you’ll go next.

We invite you to jot down answers to two questions:

  1. What’s a key lesson you learned in 2023?

  2. What is a hope or two that you have for 2024 (either personally or professionally)?

And, our in a spirit of sharing collective hopes and growth, we’ll go first.  When asked the same questions, here’s what members of our team said:

Chris

  1. During my sabbatical, I worked through some challenges in how I was showing up in important relationships in my life. A key lesson I learned was that belonging doesn't require agreement. That feels simple and obvious - yet I have a deep rut of thinking if I didn’t agree, it meant I couldn’t belong. Now, I see that I can belong and support others feeling they belong, even when we see things differently.

  2. I hope to continue my focus on strengthening and improving my health to enable deeper caring for myself and our clients. And I also hope to take at least one trip in our family adventure vehicle - a remodeled school bus whose renovation is still in progress.

Erin

  1. Resilience is an active - not passive - process. It's something that I can make choices around, nurture in myself, and build up. It doesn't just happen accidentally.

  2. I hope to continue to strengthen our community in two ways - through my volunteer work and by working with clients who want to increase their impact.

Diana

  1. When I slow down, I accomplish more. I have all the time I need to accomplish everything I want in life.

  2. A hope for next year is that our team moves into even higher levels of thriving at work, enabling us to help our clients transform as well.

Gurudev

  1. Shifting roles, even temporarily, and stepping into others' shoes is an amazing way to develop a broader perspective, empathize with what others face, and foster innovation.

  2. A hope for next year is for optimal health and transformative work with clients and ourselves.

Katie

  1. The compassionate choice is not always the easiest, and it’s where we can grow.

  2. I hope for more time outside and to use my creativity in partnership with others.

Anastasia

  1. Growth is not always about blooming, and there is still beauty in tending the soil.

  2. I hope to continue exploring Clean Learning and Clean Questions to aid with self-discovery, and read 20 books next year.

Wishing you a peaceful end of the year and a 2024 full of hope. And if you’re wondering how to increase your team’s thriving at work in 2024, let’s have a conversation.
