Michael serves our clients through his company, The Claymore Group. He guides organizations to their best futures by aligning goals and people, improving processes, and finding “and” solutions.
Michael has over 30 years’ experience in business strategy, organizational development, and systematic innovation. Prior to forming his company, Michael worked as an executive at three international technology firms, through mergers, acquisitions, rapid growth, and turnarounds. Michael founded and served as Chancellor of the C-bridge Institute on the MIT campus – recognized for its training programs for companies experiencing rapid change.
Michael says he went to college to become the kind of teacher who’d changed his own life. He majored in physics and English and helped found the university’s Honor Colloquium, which focuses on systems thinking and quality. He earned his master’s in physics and began his career in operations management at MEMC (a silicon wafer manufacturer). He later moved to product engineering, sales, and marketing in the instrumentation and telecoms industries.
Michael offers a variety of proven tools, including Theory of Constraints training, Lean Six Sigma and others to managers, executives and other consultants. He is a Vistage speaker on the topic of “Thinking Like a Leader,” and serves as a Big Five for Life coach. Michael brings a sense of humor, empathy and drive to help people and organizations.
Michael lives on the side of a mountain, outside of Rocky Mountain National Park, with his wife and two daughters.
